| For 7 years I have lived with brake vibration after I installed a StopTech 330mm brake kit. For the longest of time I thought the rotors were warped. I finally checked them and discovered very little run out (ca .001 in. @ the outer edge). The story from StopTech and others is that this vibration is due to improper pad bedding. I have removed the rotors and scotchbrighted the friction surfaces several times followed by repeated high speed (70 mph -> 0) hard stops to no avail. StopTech was sold to a new consortium and the calipers have been redesigned. A new compound now replaces the one used in the former Axxis pads. The new calipers resemble monoblocks because the bolts holdng the halves do not come through and the pad is now about 1/2 the size in surface area. I talked to someone at their tech line who told me that the new compound might help. Haven't gotten a set to ty yet. My thoughts are that only another kit of another brand is gong to fix this.
